Saves, conflicts and lost connections

What DOMS does when two tabs edit the same thing, or a save cannot be confirmed.

  • Another save changed this item. Someone (or another tab) saved a newer revision. Re read it, then choose to review your edits against the current revision. Your typed text is kept.
  • Unconfirmed. The save may or may not have landed. Nothing is saved twice on its own; Check this decision or refresh to read the truth, then try again.
  • A retained draft. Close the tab mid edit and the editor offers your unsaved text when you return. Saved answers stay in your account; unsaved typing may only be kept in that tab.
